Man Stabbed in Evering Road, Lower Clapton: Police Investigate Attack

A man is recovering in hospital after being stabbed in Lower Clapton, East London. Officers from the Metropolitan Police were called to Evering Road at 6:11 PM on Thursday, February 22, following reports of a disturbance.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a man suffering from a stab wound to his arm. Emergency services transported him to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

What Happened in Evering Road?

Police were alerted to an incident on Evering Road, N16, where a violent altercation had reportedly taken place. Responding officers found a man with a stab wound and provided immediate assistance before paramedics arrived.

A crime scene was established in the area, cordoning off parts of the street, including nearby homes and businesses. Officers remained on-site as forensic teams gathered evidence.

Authorities have not indicated an ongoing threat to the wider public. However, investigations into the circumstances surrounding the stabbing continue.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson stated:
“Police were called at 16:11hrs on Saturday, 22 February, to Evering Road, N16, following reports of a disturbance. On arrival, officers located a man with a stab wound to his arm. He remains in hospital, and his injuries are not deemed to be life-threatening. Enquiries remain ongoing.”

As of now, no arrests have been reported. Police have not disclosed whether they are searching for a specific suspect or if the incident is linked to any ongoing disputes. Officers continue to investigate leads and are urging witnesses to come forward.
