A man was rushed to hospital following a stabbing incident outside Leyton Fire Station in Waltham Forest, east London, on Sunday afternoon. The attack took place on Church Road, near the junction with Oliver Road, shortly before 3.30pm on April 14. Police officers and London Ambulance Service (LAS) teams responded quickly to the scene.

Where did the Leyton stabbing happen?

The incident occurred outside Leyton Fire Station on Church Road, close to Oliver Road, in the London Borough of Waltham Forest. The area, part of east London, was cordoned off as emergency services responded to the attack.

What was the emergency response to the incident?

According to a statement from London Ambulance Service, the call came in at 3.27pm. Emergency services dispatched a full response, including:

  • An ambulance crew
  • An incident response officer
  • A clinical team manager
  • A paramedic from the tactical response unit
  • London’s Air Ambulance

A spokesperson for LAS said:

“We treated a man at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre.”

The Metropolitan Police also attended the scene but have not yet issued a detailed update on the victim’s condition or any potential suspects.

What did local authorities advise?

Waltham Forest Council issued a public alert on X (formerly Twitter), advising residents to “avoid the area” and seek alternative routes while emergency services dealt with the scene.

Have there been any arrests or updates?

At the time of publication, no arrests have been confirmed and the Met Police have not provided further comment. The victim’s identity and condition also remain undisclosed.
