Cate Le Bon, Vieux Farka Touré, This Is The Kit and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah lead the line-up for new all-seated festival
Hush, a new music festival founded on the belief that quieter minds make for a better world, comes to East London this summer, featuring intimate performances by indie, folk, classical and jazz artists.
The range of international talent at Hush includes headline sets from Vieux Farka Touré, This is the Kit, and Cate Le Bon. They are joined by acts including SOHN, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Julianna Barwick & Mary Lattimore, Steve Gunn, anaiis, Ashley Henry, John Francis Flynn, Scott Matthews, Gwenifer Raymond, Maya Youssef and Joseph Tawadros.
Hush is designed as a quieter, more intimate festival in tune with its surroundings. Taking place in Central Park, a historic community green space only 15-minutes’ walk from East Ham station, the event is surrounded by trees and entirely seated, encouraging audiences to listen deeply and be fully present — an antidote to bigger, noisier, LED-screen-led festivals. In keeping with the festival’s ethos, the programme will also feature inspiring talks on awareness and meditation.
Co-curated by Simon Raymonde – ex member of the Cocteau Twins and founder of Bella Union record label – together with founders and local residents Peter & Shabira Cassidy – Hush will take place in Central Park (E6) from 29 July to 2 August 2026.

As well as the main line-ups, there will be Hush Brunch concerts across the weekend featuring concert pianist Sebastian-Benedict Flore, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, and a surprise act to be announced. Hush Midweek will feature Opera at Sunset and the hypnotic rhythms of Arabian Skies.
“The world has become a very noisy place, so we wanted to build a festival that feels different — calmer, more intentional, more present”
say founders Peter and Shabira Cassidy.
“Hush is about creating space for deep listening and shared experience. As East Ham residents, we wanted to bring something beautiful to our community and celebrate E6 as a place where culture can thrive.”
Simon Raymonde, co-curator of Hush adds:
“As city life seems to get noisier, more chaotic and hectic almost by the day, Hush comes along at a perfect time. We need alternatives and we want our communities to shine. As well as our event being all-seated, we have picked an eclectic mix of incredible artists across multiple genres to perform for you across the week on a unique stage setting surrounded by trees in Central Park in East Ham. I can’t wait for this to happen! ‘There’s a kind of hush all over the world tonight.’”
