Chiave

Chiave, means key in Italian and for those that know about the bar, can feel like they hold the key to somewhere special. Chiave wants everyone to feel welcome in the space and to feel that they belong.

The concept is a cocktail bar split across two floors with the main focus on bespoke drinks prepared by top mixologists enjoyed alongside carefully selected music by renowned DJs, amplified by an exceptional custom sound system – Arda Audio speakers, hailing from Cophenagen.

The basement features an intimate dance floor space that can hold around 30 people. The space features a stylish DJ booth and seats around the edges of the room. The music programming on this floor will have both international and local DJs spinning genres such as house, minimal techno, electro funk and hip hop and will alternate from secret ticketed gigs to an open house for everyone to enjoy.

The bar is the first venture from Turkish couple, Selin Duren and Cem Ozden who have known each other for years, both working in the music and nightlife industry across Europe. They are regulars on the London music scene and have conceptualised the whole venue themselves, creating their perfect hang out: A hedonistic blend of minimalistic decor with a combination of exciting art, great music and fantastic drinks.

Chiave Launches New Cocktail Menu in London

On entry, there is a shelf on the ground floor that will display items for sale on rotation such as homewares, books, magazines and vinyl records. The original exposed brick wall will also exhibit artworks from up and coming artists, which will also be for sale.

On this floor there will be a small amount of tables and bar stools where a considered selection of nibbles will be served, pairing well with the cocktail menu and selected wine list which features a variety including natural wines.

Soon to be firm favourites are the interesting concoctions – Doomsday, Tanqueray no:10 with cucumber, bergamot, parsley and melon, To & Fro with Black label, nori petit-beurre and ginger and Street Spirit with the traditional spirit from Turkey, Raki, salted caramel ginger beer and lime.

Bites include perfect drink accompaniments of: freshly made dips and crackers, a selection of cheese and meat, tinned fish with sourdough and smoked salmon with creme fraiche, blinis and caviar.

Chiave is set to be the new music bar for those in the know, with a great space to hang out upstairs, a place to enjoy great music downstairs. The space is the ideal spot to hang out with friends, host intimate parties and dance the night away downstairs.
