Nasima Islam, Founder and Chair of Wish Foundation, has been Highly Commended in the “Sector Impact of the Year” category at the Tower Hamlets Women’s Awards 23 march 2026, organised by Tower Hamlets Council.
This recognition highlights her significant contribution to supporting vulnerable individuals and families across Tower Hamlets. Through Wish Foundation, Nasima Islam has led a range of impactful community initiatives, including weekly food bank services, elder coffee mornings, digital hub and outreach programmes aimed at reducing hardship and social isolation.
Under her leadership, Wish Foundation has become a vital source of support for many local residents, delivering consistent and meaningful assistance to those in need. Her work continues to strengthen community cohesion and provide essential help to underserved groups.
