What Is Hanif’s Family Saying?

Hanif’s family described him as a “hardworking and loving father of two” and an “innocent man” whose life was tragically cut short.

In a heartfelt statement, they said:
“Hanif was a bright spark whose light has been dimmed far too soon. It is heartbreaking to think that he has been taken away from us.

“To those who may know or may have seen or heard what took place on that horrific night, any information you have will be of great value to us to help the authorities apprehend those that carried out such a dreadful act.”

What Are Police Saying About the Case?

Detective Chief Inspector Mark Rogers, leading the investigation, described Hanif’s death as devastating for his family, friends, and the local community.

He stated:

“While we have made significant progress with our enquiries, we are yet to secure a conviction and get the justice that they deserve.

What Should Witnesses Do?

Police and Hanif’s family are urging anyone with information, no matter how minor, to come forward.

If you were in the area of Linton Road, Barking, on the night of 13 October or have any relevant details, you are asked to contact the police immediately. Your information could provide the breakthrough needed to bring Hanif’s killer to justice.
