Metropolitan Police officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended the scene, where they found the victim suffering from stab wounds. He was taken to a major trauma centre, where doctors assessed his injuries as non-life-threatening but potentially life-changing.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson stated: “Police were called at 13:05hrs on Monday, 24 February, following reports of a stabbing in Hackney, N16. Officers attended the scene outside a primary school on Oldhill Street, Stoke Newington, and requested the assistance of London Ambulance Service.”

What did emergency services say about the response?

A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service confirmed that emergency teams responded swiftly to the attack. “We were called at 1.10pm on Monday 24 February to reports of a stabbing on Oldhill Street, Hackney. We sent an ambulance crew, an incident response officer, and a paramedic from our tactical response unit. We treated a man at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
