Which roads in Havering will be affected by closures?

Multiple roads are set to experience closures and restrictions:​

  • Hillcrest Road, Hornchurch: Closed between its junctions with Park Lane, Globe Road, and Hyland Way for road resurfacing from 24th to 28th March, and again on 31st March, between 8am and 5pm. Temporary suspension of parking enforcement will be in place on Park Lane, Hillcrest Road, Globe Road, and Hyland Way during these times. ​
  • Winifred Avenue: Closed from outside number 2 to its junction with Suttons Lane for pavement improvements on 28th March, from 8am to 5:30pm. All pay and display parking bays outside numbers 47 to 57 and the parking bays on Winifred Avenue will be temporarily suspended. ​
  • Shepherds Hill, Harold Wood: Closed from its junction with Ivy Lodge Lane to the junction of Hall Lane for footway installation from 24th to 26th March, between 8am and 5pm. ​
  • Chase Cross Road, Collier Row: Closed from its junction with Rex Close to outside number 26 for modification of a puffin crossing until 4th April, between 8am and 5pm. ​

What diversion routes have been established?

Diversion routes have been provided for each closure to ensure the smooth flow of traffic:​

  • Hillcrest Road: Park Lane, Bush Elms Road, and Hyland Way in both directions.
  • Winifred Avenue: Suttons Lane, Dawes Avenue, Crystal Avenue, and Winifred Avenue. ​
  • Shepherds Hill: Shepherds Hill, Squirrels Heath Road, Southend Arterial Road, and Hall Lane. ​
  • Chase Cross Road: Collier Row Lane and Havering Road. ​
