As reported by Harry Lee of Romford Recorder, a serious collision took place on Upminster Road in Hornchurch on Friday evening, 13 September 2025. The crash involved a motorcycle and a car near the junction with Gordon Avenue. The motorcyclist was seriously injured and subsequently hospitalised.

In a more detailed report by The Havering Daily, the motorcyclist, identified as a man in his 20s, did not survive the incident. Emergency services arrived promptly; however, despite all efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The car driver stopped following the crash and cooperated with the emergency teams. So far, there have been no arrests linked to the collision.
